“Leaving the Bear Mountain Dock”

Hudson River steamboat with “Iron Steamboat Company”painted on the side. The painting was done in 2010 which depicts an era back in the 1920′s when steamboats took passengers on excursions up and down the Hudson River from lower Manhattan up to West Point and further.

Note: the railroad tunnel on the far shore, these railroad tracks on the eastern shore of the Hudson took the wealthiest from the Poughkeepsie area who controlled Wall Street to work in the morning in their own individual railroad cars.
